SPEAKING

Michael speaking at VisitScotland
"Spirit of Scotland" launch, June 2016
At the heart of all my work is a passionate storyteller. I've been performing professionally for more than 15 years. I've performed in schools, community centres, therapeutic centres, churches, hospitals, in tents, on outdoor stages, storytelling clubs, children's parties, theatres, museums, libraries, and many other venues.

I am a registered member of the Scottish Storytelling Forum and the Scottish Book Trust (click on the links to learn more about me). I'm also a member of Equity and registered with the General Teaching Council of Scotland. I am a Professional Associate member of the Alliance and a member of the Scottish Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.

I am available to speak at meetings, after-dinner events, church services, fund-raising events, corporate and community events.

Story and storytelling are my passions. I have spoken on

the therapeutic use of story
storytelling and masculinity
storytelling as a means of resolving conflict
storytelling for leadership
storytelling as education
storytelling for spiritual growth
and other related topics.
